2019 Schedule:

Summer and Fall 2019

As you know, Gankar Rinpoche, our Spiritual Director has arrived in the US.  He has not yet announced a teaching schedule, but we expect that he will be teaching in Minnesota, and also elsewhere in the US while he is here.  We will announce his schedule as soon as it is available.

We are very happy to announce that Drupa Rinpoche, our resident teacher has received his visa to remain in the US, and he has planned a teaching schedule, with a curriculum for semesters of study, with a short retreat at the end of each semester.  Note that the text for the first semester, "The Wheel of Sharp Weapons," is a bit difficult to find in print, but can be found on line.  We will provide photocopies  to share at classes for those who can't obtain a copy elsewhere.  Note that for the moment, we will continue to meet at our usual address on Taylor St., but we hope to obtain a new address soon.

* The Wheel of Sharp Weapons – This is a lojong (mind training) text whose principal aim is to guide the practitioner to realizing conventional and ultimate bodhicitta which are pivotal to attaining enlightenment. The text is in verse form and adopts a forceful tone. The verses point to many of our current predicaments which are explained as the corresponding consequences of our past negative deeds: the sharp wheel-weapon of our negative karma turns back upon us, inflicting hardship and difficulty. The verses appeal to us to use our lives to alter our behavior from selfishness to altruism, to overcome the afflictions and thereby accomplish liberation.

**Jorcho – These are the stages of practice within the six reparatory practices that focus on preparing and developing the mind to remove obscurations and gain realizations.
